I’m a native Valley Girl, the second of four children. I’ve always loved to read and write. In high school I was active in drama and student council, wrote poems and short stories, and kept a journal. But my overriding interest was boys.

I majored in Economics at Brandeis University in Massachusetts. Then I worked for a few years, waitressing on the graveyard shift at Denny’s, teaching LSAT classes, and pushing paper at a big insurance company where I wrote a lot of short stories. Shh!

Finally, I settled down, sort of. I went to UC Berkeley’s law school, worked as an appellate bankruptcy lawyer in San Diego, married, had three children, and wrote my first novel. 

Now I’m a fulltime homemaker/writer in Orange County, California. In addition to writing novels, I write a humor column for local sections of the Orange County Register and how-to articles for magazines such as Writer’s Digest Magazine. I hope you enjoy my writing.
